(photo courtesy of Brian Babineau) The sharp shooting Toronto Raptors came into Boston and defeated the Celtics 114-112. The Celts hadn't given up over 100 points in their last game but the Raptors easily eclipsed that mark. They shot 15-21 three pointers (71%),40-69 from the field (58%) and 100% from the line (19-19). Jose Calderon led the way with 24 followed by Chris Bosh with 23 and Candace Parker's brother Anthony who also had 23. The Celtics were led in scoring by Kevin Garnett, who had a game high 26 to go along with 7 rebounds. Both Pierce and Allen had 19.
The game was decided in the final seconds of the game when Jose Calderon got a bucket and the fouled with 10.5 left on the clock. The Celtics then called a time out and wound up with Eddie House shooting a three, which he missed, they then got the rebound and Ray Allen missed a shot sort of near the hoop in traffic. This was the first time the Celtics had lost to a divisional opponent in 10 contests this year, and despite the lost they still hold an 11 game lead over second place Toronto.
On a side note Chris Bosh's acting skills are on full display from his released video to vote him into the all-star game. Check it out!
The Celtics remain at home as KG faces his former team for the first time Friday.
